The 4-H BC Soil Science Project
The Soil Science Project is organized to provide an introduction to soil science, methods to measure soil quality on the farm, and explore how agriculture management practices impact soil health. In order to complete the Soil Science Project, members are required to complete a comparison of soil traits from two different fields or areas on a selected property and collect data on the soil physical traits. In addition, members must complete at least one scientific experiment focused on either soil biology or soil chemistry.
