The online scholarship application makes the applicant eligible for all provincial scholarships. You do not have to submit a seperate application for each provincial scholarship.

4-H British Columbia Provincial Scholarships
4-H British Columbia Foundation Scholarship

BC Youth in Agriculture Foundation Scholarship

Chernoff Family Foundation Scholarships

- Value: $5,000
- Application Deadline: April 15 annually
- For use in any field of study at any university
- This scholarship will be renewed for a second year for a total value of $10,000
Scholarship Two
- Number of Awards: Five
- Value: $1,000
- For use in any field of study at trades, technical or diploma courses.
- This scholarship will be renewed for a second year for a total value of $2,000.

Wim Zylman Agriculture Memorial Fund
- Number of Awards: One
- Value: Minimum of $900

Priority will be given to second year students with a farming background enrolled in an agriculture diploma program at a post-secondary institution.
Annie Zylman Agriculture Memorial Fund

Priority will be given to student going into trade or agricultural studies program.
Saanich Fruit Growers’ Association Scholarship

BC Agriculture in the Classroom Foundation Teacher Education Scholarship
- Number of Awards: 1
- Value: $1,000
- Application Deadline: April 15, 2021
Criteria:
- Two years achieved in the 4-H BC Program
- Has been a 4-H BC member within the last six years
- Is enrolled or planning to be enrolled in a university Teacher Education Program in BC
- Shows a strong interest in using agriculture to teach their chosen subjects or grade level (s)
- For use in post-secondary education training in the field of Teacher Education
BC Young Farmers Scholarship
- Number of Awards: One
- Value: $750
- Application Deadline: April 15 annually
- Must be enrolling in an agricultural based post-secondary program
Richard Fatt Memorial 4-H Scholarship
- Number of Awards: Two
- Value: Maximum of $4,000
- Application Deadline: April 15 annually
Criteria:
For use at University, Technical or Vocational School in any field of Agriculture with full time course load annually.
Priority to first time applicants in the following order: (1) South Malahat 4-H members (2) Vancouver Island Region 4-H members (3) all other 4-H District and Region 4-H BC members.
Aubrey & Barbara Searle 4-H Scholarship

Deep Creek Dairy 4-H Alumni Scholarship

Criteria:
For enrollment in an agri-foods program at a qualifying institution.
Must have been registered as a 4-H member within the last two years.
Preference given to first time applicants in the following order: (1)Deep Creek Dairy 4-H Club applicants, (2) Salmon Arm District applicants, (3) Kamloops Okanagan 4-H Region applicants, (4) Applicants from all other 4-H districts and regions in British Columbia.
Of special note:
The recipient will be notified in June, however the official public winner announcement will be made at the Deep Creek Dairy 4-H Annual Banquet in the Fall.
Note: This scholarship shall be for one academic year and may be renewed at the discretion of the Selection Committee upon reapplication by the recipient
Nancy Loreth Memorial Scholarship
- Number of Awards: One
- Value: $500
- Application deadline: April 15th Annually
Eligibility:
For use in any field of study at any post-secondary institution.
- Priority to first time applicants in the following order: (1) Prince George District 4-H members (2) Central Interior Region. 4-H members (3) Yellowhead West Region 4-H members (4) all other 4-H BC District and Region members.
- Notes: This scholarship shall be for one academic year and may be renewed at the discretion of the Selection Committee upon reapplication by the recipient.
BC Purebred Sheep Breeders Scholarship
- Number of Awards: One
- Value: $500
- Application deadline: April 15th Annually
Eligibility:
For use in any field of study at any post-secondary institution.
- For use in any field of study at any post-secondary institution.
- Must have achieved two years in the last three years in a 4-H Sheep/Lamb project in BC.
- Must have been a 4-H member in a Sheep/Lamb project within the last two years.
- Must be completing Grade 12 or completed Grade 12 previously
- Must be planning to attend post secondary educational institute with the coming year
- Must not have previously received a 4-H BC scholarship
4-H Canada National Scholarships
L.E.A.D.
4-H Canada is proud to announce that CN is the sponsor of the 4-H Canada Leadership Excellence Awards of Distinction. The Leadership Excellence Awards of Distinction (L.E.A.D.) honours the accomplishments of four special 4-H senior youth members and showcases the outstanding accomplishments of 4-H members across Canada in the area of leadership excellence. Through the generosity of CN, four scholarships – with an overall value of $20,000 each over four years – are available to 4-H members who have demonstrated personal values, leadership and community involvement within one of 4-H’s Leadership Development Pillars.

Ian Paton Sr. Memorial Scholarship
One $2,000 scholarship will be awarded annually in memory of Ian Paton Sr. and his contribution to the 4-H program in BC. This scholarship will be awarded to a student pursuing post secondary education in Agriculture and who has a background in agriculture. Application deadline is April 15 annually.

Kay Puhallo Memorial Bursary
- Number of Awards: One or two depending on number of applicants
- Value: $500
- Application Deadline: September 1st Annually
Criteria:
- Must be a 4-H member enrolled in a post-secondary education program and will attend the program the same year as they receive the award.
- 4-H member will be in good standing and actively participating with a 4-H Club that attends BC Agricultural Expo.
- 4-H member will participate in the BC Agricultural Expo in the year the scholarship is awarded.
The bursary will be awarded based on the member’s 4-H achievements as well as their citizenship and leadership qualities. The Puhallo Family will choose the 4-H Member(s) they feel will benefit the most from the bursaries; they will be awarded by September 1st of each year to assist with educational costs. The award will be given to the 4-H members at the BC Agricultural Expo banquet to acknowledge the bursary and its recipients.
Applications must include the following information:
- Name, age, years in 4-H, Club(s), projects and achievements
- Post-Secondary Education Program – currently enrolled
- Written description of their educational goals
- Name and phone number of their current 4-H Leader

WestGen Education Awards

Criteria:
- Western Canadian post-secondary students that have completed at least one year of college/university
- Must be a WestGen member, or son/daughter of a WestGen member

This $5200 Award is open to current 4-H members and 4-H alumni who have been out of 4-H for up to 5-years, in the province of BC who are applying to enter the Applied Ranching Program at the TRU williams Lake Campus. Preference will be given to members within the Cariboo Region.
Canadian Agri-Business Education Foundation
CABEF awards seven $2,500 scholarships annually to students enrolling or currently in an agricultural related program at a Canadian university, college or apprenticeship institution. These scholarships are funded through generous donations from agri-business and people involved in the agricultural and food industry.
Students from across Canada are invited to apply for one of seven scholarships awarded annually. One scholarship will be awarded in the provinces of Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Québec, the Atlantic Provinces as a whole and one from British Columbia/Territories.
Application & InformationAbbotsford Agrifair 4-H Scholarship - NEW
- Value: $1,500
- Application deadline: August 5th, 2023
Eligibility:
- Applicants must be at least 17 years old as of January 1, 2023.
- Applicants must be a member of 4H who plans to enter post secondary education the following fall semester.

Applicants must have shown at Agrifair 2023. If unforeseen circumstances come up please email agriculture@agrifair.ca
- Scholarship may not be won in 2 years in a row; however, unsuccessful applicants may re-apply the following year.
- Scholarship winner must claim the scholarship before December 31, 2023
- Proof of entry to university or school of applicant’s choice must be forwarded to Agrifair before the scholarship will be paid.
- The Scholarship Committee will be appointed by Agrifair and reserves the right to withhold awarding scholarship if, in the opinion of the Scholarship Committee, there is no qualified applicant.
- The decision of the Scholarship Committee is final and cannot be appealed.
- The scholarship winner will be announced during the 4-H Closing Ceremonies during Agrifair 2023.

Excellence in Ag Program (Federated Co-operatives Limited)

- Value: $5,000 renewable up to four years

Eligibility:
We wish to make you aware of a scholarship and internship opportunity that helps finance a student’s education, provide valuable field experience, and build their professional career in the agribusiness industry. Federated Co-operatives Limited and the Co-operative Retailing System are working together to provide the Excellence in Ag program that is helping tomorrow’s ag leaders get a head start on their careers. Up to four students studying agriculture or business at an accredited institution will be accepted to the program every year and receive:
Scholarships - The scholarship has a value of up to $20,000, with up to $5,000 per year paid over a maximum of four years.
Internships - Paid summer internships will be available for up to three years at a retail co-operative in Manitoba, Saskatchewan or Alberta.
Employment - Upon successful completion of post-secondary education, students have the opportunity for full-time employment — including a signing bonus — at a retail co-operative.
Applicants must be entering or already enrolled in a diploma or degree program in agriculture or business at an accredited post-secondary institution
